This 2 hour course prepares educators, students staff, volunteers, and congregational leaders to respond effectively in the event of an active shooter. Participants learn how to recognize pre-attack indicators, apply the Run/Hide/Fight – Deny/Delay/Defend models, and make rapid, life-saving decisions under stress. Case studies (Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, Las Vegas, Sutherland Springs, Uvalde, and others) provide real-world lessons on attacker methods, firearms, magazine capacity, and incident outcomes, and how what you do in response can save your own, and possibly another's life.
